This game has some weird FPS issues, like it wants to run at 61fps - it's not smooth!. Also reading the game reviews on Steam there is other bugs too. I mean, c'mon man its 2018 surely we can have a glitch free version of Space Invaders! Taito Station core with a heavy dose of ＦＥＶＥＲ.. First time owning a space invaders game and I'm impressed by it. The visuals pretty good, can be turned off if you want which is good. The music is great on later stages. I like the uniqueness of the shots you make somehow blend w/ the music. I have read that some tracks got replaced by new ones is unfortunate. Hopefully Taito will patch that to give ppl options which tracks to choose from. What bothers me a bit on this game. The lack of features in options that is really bare and I don't know why. The other unfortunate thing is that it's online only. That's a problem know that it''s unplayable if someone doesn't have internet. Lack of button options may turn ppl off, but not much of a deal to me, feels fine to me since it really doesn't offer much. As for the leaderboards, it's not bad, yet I don't see myself being the expert of being the top 10. Overall it's a fun budget game that ppl should buy. $20 is pretty much a steal for what it can offer. Hopefully that Taito will release the sequel unto Steam. Reminder, only get it if you have online. If you don't have any internet connection, do not buy it.. Very good port from the PSP, and other related systems this game was on in the previous gen, but would be perfect if it could be played offline. Think twice before buying if you do not like online-only video-games.. Works pretty well. Brings back memories. Only used the keyboard controls. Not sure if it's good with a controller. Highly recommended though if you like space invaders.. Pros:- New play style from the original Space Invaders I love.- Challenging from different levels of different difficulties.- Vibrant colors and smooth playing.- A little of a learning curve but easy to learn.- Different weapon styles to create a high score for the online leader boards.Cons:-Online only play!-No way to improve graphics to what it is locked at.-If you are photo sensitive or epileptic this game could trigger you.-Sound is always way too loud with only five adjustment settings that really does not make much difference in volume.-Only locked into their style of game mode. It would be nice if you can unlock or have the option to play the original space invaders with the graphics they have in this game.I enjoy this game. I have not tried using my arcade fight stick with it to get a real arcade feel to this game but I would recomend it for a time killer.I would give this game a 7/10 because of lack of volume adjustments and graphic adjustments.
